A: Hello.
B: Hello, welcome to Loft Airlines. How can I assist you today?
A: My name is Christopher Smith. I’m flying to Sydney, Australia.
B: All right Mr Smith, I need your booking confirmation and passport.
A: Here they are.
B: Okay. Do you have any luggage you’d like to check in?
A: Yes, one bag.
B: Put your suitcase here please.
A: Here you go.
B: Okay, everything appears to be in order.
A: Excellent.
B: Here is your passport and boarding pass Sir. Your flight departs from gate 32 and your seat is 10A. Boarding will commence at 12:30pm. Enjoy your flight.
A: Thank you. Have a good day.

Usually when checking in I get to receive a stare when I request for seat near the aisle. Is it not appropriate in this conversation?
Usually, you choose your seats when you book your ticket, so you need to choose the aisle seat then. If you ask at the airport all the aisle seats might be taken already.
Traveling by plane can be really exciting, especially if you’re heading to a place where you’ve never been before, but at the same time it can get really stressful too, especially if you have problems understanding the English that’s used at the airport.
I know what you mean Anna Esor, it can be stressful. Hopefully, this conversation allows you to practice the conversation before you get to the airport and reduce some of the stress. I’m glad you found the video helpful.
Any airport can be really stressful, even if it’s in your own country.So imagine having to speak another language while you’re there!no matter where you are, English is used at every single airport.This is such a useful conversation for someone like me who travels a lot.

While airplanes have made traveling simpler and life easier, the whole process can be quite intimidating, or overwhelming, for a person like me who is not fluent in English.thank you for bringing in a gist of the standard conversation that can take place at the check-in counter of an airport, this gives me confidence to talk my way.

This vid is very helpful to travellers especially to those who go to the airport. Language barrier is the most common problem in the airport especially to those who cannot confidently and properly communicate in English. Ordering food, going out,enjoying attractions and checking in hotels goes hand in hand with the English language which has become the modern language – there’s no doubt about that!
